Best Jam Band

On the outside, Messy Jiverson appears like your typical jam band. Check. Ridiculous ring name? Check. Tons of wah-wah guitar? Check and mate. But looks are deceiving, as the six-piece hits that sweet spot which few jam bands can locate: an allegiance into the groove abetted by topnotch musicianship. Directed by a barrage of classic keyboards (andyes, a lot of wah-wah guitar), Messy Jiverson discovers a riff and handles to squeeze every last drop of pleasure from it. And while hippy-dippy noodle dancers are welcome to the celebration, the band's capacity to pump out that the disco-funk jams attracts a particular verve into the audio not normally made by six boys.
